PCL(4k)-PEG(5k)-ALK is a micelle-forming polymer with hydrophobic polycaprolactone (PCL) block chemically connected to a hydrophilic PEG block. The alkyne group is reactive with azide via copper catalyzed click chemistry to form a stable triazole bond. The PCL core can be used to encapsulate hydrophobic drugs while the PEG can form a tight shell around the core to minimize drug degradation. The polyester PCL is biodegradable via hydrolysis on the ester bonds. Reagent grade, for research purpose.
