The bifunctional linker DBCO-PEG4-NHS ester contains a DBCO and a NHS ester moiety which allows to crosslink azide containing compounds with compounds bearing primary amines without the need of a catalyst. The introduction of the hydrophilic PEG4 spacer reduces aggregation and precipitation during the labeling reaction and also minimizes steric hindrance between the conjugate.
