背景资料: GPR18 is a Protein Coding gene. Along with the other previously "orphan" receptors GPR55 and GPR119,G Protein-Coupled Receptor 18 has been found to be a receptor for endogenous lipid neurotransmitters, several of which also bind to cannabinoid receptors. Protein-Coupled Receptor 18 is a receptor for N-arachidonyl glycine. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenylyl cyclase. May contribute to regulation of the immune system. Among its related pathways are Signaling by GPCR and Peptide ligand-binding receptors. GO annotations related to this gene include G-protein coupled receptor activity. An important paralog of this gene is GPR20.
