Resistin (also called adipose tissue-specific secretory factor，ADSF) is a member of the family of adipocyte-secreted proteins. Resistin appears to act on skeletal muscle myocytes，hepatocytes，and adipocytes themselves，where it is sμggested to reduce insulin sensitivity leading to type-2 diabetes.
