Nav1.2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SCN2A gene. Voltage-gated sodium channels are transmembrane glycoprotein complexes composed of a large alpha subunit with 24 transmembrane domains and one or more regulatory beta subunits. They are responsible for the generation and propagation of action potentials in neurons and muscle. Neuronal Nav1.2 channels are therapeutic targets in seizure, pain and stroke.
Nav1.2 Antibody was produced in mice by repeated immunizations raised against a fusion protein corresponding to the cytoplasmic C-terminus region of rat Nav1.2.
