17B-Estradiol (E888000) metabolite. An inhibitor of androstenedione aromatization, which is responsible for the conversion of androgens to estrogens. Agonistic ligands for the estrogen receptor in MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Melting Point:197-199°CSolubility:DMSO, MethanolMethod for Determining Identity: Proton NMR (DMSO-d6) and MSTLC Conditions: SiO2; Dichloromethane : Methanol (9 : 1). Visualized with UV and AMCS (single spot; Rf=0.55).Storage and Stability:Store in the dark at 4°C. Caution: Light-sensitive. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
