SICGEN Antibodies--优选红色荧光蛋白抗体(Anti-tdTomato)

tdTomato 是一种荧光蛋白,来源于DsRed,一种来自盘状珊瑚的工程红色荧光蛋白。tdTomato 的发射波长为 581 纳米,亮度较高,并且具有光稳定性,这使得它成为活体动物成像研究的理想选择。tdTomato 与mCherry 荧光蛋白有着相似的光稳定性,但亮度更强,非常适合用于追踪表达水平。

在细胞生物学研究中,tdTomato 常被用作报告基因,通过特定的遗传学方法,可以将特定的细胞群体不可逆地标记上这种红色荧光蛋白。例如,周斌研究组开发了一种基于 Dre-rox 和 Cre-loxP 双同源重组酶介导的新型遗传谱系示踪系统,利用 tdTomato 标记体腔巨噬细胞。

此外,tdTomato 还被用于转基因小鼠的构建和细胞示踪研究。在某些情况下,tdTomato 可能对生物体造成一定的影响,例如研究发现 tdTomato 可能会降低视网膜的电生理响应。
