EbbaBiolight分子允许直接观察细菌或细菌生物膜,而不使用抗体或任何有毒化学物质。当与目标结合时,分子变得高度荧光,无毒,并且在推荐浓度下不会干扰细菌生长或生物膜形成,因此Ebbabiolight可以添加到活培养物中,使用分光光度分析实时跟踪细菌生长或生物膜形成。此外,Ebbabilight是感光性和耐热的,并允许在任何应用中,易于处理。

气固界面沙门氏菌生物膜的成像和实时监控--
新的方法表明,Ebbabilight可以混合到生长介质(琼脂)中。这使得沙门氏菌生物膜中细胞外成分的非破坏性选择性跟踪成为可能。
细胞外基质成分的空间和时间动态,允许定性和定量的结构分析。
对于 Staphylococci的直接检测和定量,研究表明,Ebbabilight与细胞包膜成分结合。由于EbbaBiolight不与革兰氏阴性细菌结合,因此可以区分革兰氏+ve和革兰氏- ve,荧光强度与光密度线性相关,在样品中定量准确直接。
